About Us

The Junior Auxiliary Committee (JAC) is a volunteer based committee that is an adjunct to the Auxiliary to BC Children's Hospital. This organization was initiated by Auxiliary member Catherine Beller, and founded in February 2006 by a group of enthusiastic volunteers, all wanting to contribute more to the hospital beyond their weekly volunteer shifts.

Our intentions are to implement fundraising and activity ideas for the hospital, as well as act to enhance the experience of volunteers.

With the support of the Senior Auxiliary, we hold monthly meetings to brainstorm programming ideas, address upcoming volunteer opportunities, and organize current activities.

Our current projects include a Health Care Career Panel and organizing a team to participate in the BCCH Child Run. We hope to implement some creative ideas in the upcoming year, including assistance with volunteer orientations, staff appreciation events, and an annual fundraiser.
